We are thrilled to have been appointed by a longstanding client – a Global Law Firm – to provide the Project Management of their workplace relocation to a new city centre office.
Having outgrown inherited offices, the client looks to provide a modern workplace to attract both existing back to the office and new staff to their growing business. Employee wellbeing and environmental objectives are at the forefront of the brief. Construction Group Consultancy Ltd (CGC) has begun to integrate itself into the client’s Project Management Office, where we will manage the design and construction of the client’s new hybrid workplace.
We make it our priority to understand the client’s needs and to work with the design team to determine a bespoke solution. Our client focus is central to all decision making, through continual client liaison we establish the business functions and gain an understanding of internal operational procedures, providing our knowledge and advice to deliver a tailored workplace solution.
We are extremely excited to provide our focused and proactive delivery approach and draw upon our expertise in Workplace Design and Project Management for this innovative project. We look to help create a stunning new workplace that will entice existing staff back to the office and help attract a new workforce as the client’s business continues to grow.
Our Northern office are thrilled to have shared these 3D visuals as part of the workplace design process to transform Historic England Manchester offices into a hybrid space.
As plans for the return to the office are considered, 3D visualisations are a fantastic tool to bring the concept to life, enabling both the client and design team to view and coordinate the space before construction.
CGC’s Workplace Design Team offer clients the full “design service” from the initial workplace strategy and briefing, through concept design, spatial coordination and technical design whether refurbishing existing space or fitting-out new premises.
Our delivery process is proven; we work within our client’s company structure to agree business goals, define project objectives, and set out a project execution plan and activity program. We undertake discovery sessions with project sponsors and key departments e.g. HR, H&S, FM & IT, and staff surveys to provide empirical data that enables clients to make informed decisions and plan.
Once a strategy is agreed upon, our Workplace Design Team uses the data to dictate the concept design, weaving cues from client culture and corporate branding, to deliver a workplace that reflects the company vision and encourages business processes.

In this ever-changing, uncertain period, companies will look to Return to Work (RtW) in a cost-effective manner. As we negotiate our way out of the pandemic, keeping business financially sound and staff safe will be the main drivers for many.
Companies may be looking at their workplace (currently sitting un-used) and be considering the investment previously made in the context of the value it now provides in terms of staff productivity, safety, connectivity etc. The RtW is likely to be rapid once it begins, businesses will need to make many workplace-related decisions; it will be critical not to lose sight of providing value in any change, rather than just looking at cost cuts.
Workplaces are full of assets that hold inherent worth, there is nothing to stop existing assets (furniture, demountable partitioning joinery, IT/AV) being re-purposed to support post-pandemic work practices. Can workstations be turned into team benches in collaboration areas, it is likely that some can. Can excess task chairs be used for collaboration or quiet areas, yes, can they be sent out for home workers, absolutely. Can redundant storage be adapted to create lockers, workbenches or even privacy walls, potentially yes. What of IT & AV – can existing equipment be adapted to maximise connectivity between the remote and present workforces, undoubtedly.
From the outset, Construction Group Consultancy Ltd (CGC) can assist companies to audit their workplace assets to provide solutions that ensure waste is minimised. Helping you shape a strategy and design brief to reapportion these valuable assets, creating cost-effective change solutions to nurture the new way of working.
