“I have worked with the Construction Group Consultancy and in particular Steve Booker for over 12 years. I am the Head of Facilities at A2Dominion a large social housing provider. My role is to manage the accommodation needs of over 900 staff. A2Dominion was formed as a merger of different housing groups and there was a scattered portfolio of offices covering the South East. My role was to develop a plan to rationalise this portfolio and to significantly improve the quality of our offices.  There were different properties some owned, some leased with different key dates. We developed a programme that took several years to bring to a conclusion. It involved eight offices and 100,000 sq ft. We worked together on this programme and developed and introduced an agile   work solution into the business. This enabled us to provide better quality accommodation with more flexible breakout and meeting room space. We were able to reduce our overall space requirements and saved the business over £1m annual rent and building costs.

Steve was instrumental in helping me with this, he quickly grasped the culture of the business and was able to help me bring in the new approaches we developed. I could rely on him implicitly to manage a range of building professionals from architects, engineers to the   builders.  Steve was always able to work with the whole range of people on a large project. He was always available and would get back to me very quickly if I needed a response.  Steve knew about budget management and was always able to offer cost effective solutions.  From time to time Steve brought in other colleagues from CGC and I always found them very professional.”
